Vacation Bible School

July 18 - 22, 2005

8:30 - 11:00 a.m.

Grades K -  6

 

Lots of help is needed for this year’s Serengeti Trek Vacation Bible School (VBS). Each day, kids will be exposed to a different Bible Point. They will learn to: Know God, Talk to God, Tell about God, Love God, and Work for God. So if you are young at heart, love watching children laugh and get excited about learning about the Bible - SIGN-UP to help!! An exciting adventure is waiting for YOU! NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED -

Help is needed in the following places:

 

Watering hole (snacks) - Carol Gardiner - Leader

Bible Expedition (storytelling) -  Laura Miller - Leader

Wild Games - Sarah Gardiner - Leader

Critter Crafts - Deby Geiger -  Lynn Wade - Co Leaders

Sing & Play Roar - Michelle & Holly Farris - Co Leaders

And prayer for a successful VBS week.

 

I’m sure you will come away from this experience a changed person ready to head out on a safari to learn more about God for yourself.

MISSION EMPHASIS FOR JULY

Living Bread Ministry (L.B.M.)

The Living Bread Ministry provides financial aid to those in our community in need of help. Our donations are given to the Salvation Army, who in turns disperses the money on an as needed basis. Give generously and help the less fortunate in our area.

 

 

Fourth Of July All-Church Picnic

 

On Monday, July 4th, The Annual UMW All Church BBQ Picnic will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Upjohn Park. There will be lots of good food, games and, of course, fireworks to end the evening. Please bring your own meat to Bar-B-Q and a favorite side dish to share. UMW will supply plates, condiments, water and lemonade. You are encouraged to bring a flashlight for those trips to the restrooms at dark. Please come and join in the fun and fellowship.

Welcome Reception

Next Sunday, after both Worship Services, there will be a Welcome reception for Pastor Rich and Kathy LaShure. Please join us in making them feel welcome and at home.
